Award Value(s): Each award will be for the amount of US$750.00 and will be announced in November of each year
Criteria Selection:
• Instrumentation Engineering Technology Program – enrolled in a post-secondary automation related program in Western Canada (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon, or Northwest Territories)
• Academic achievement (Minimum GPA 3.00 (75%)) in from previous year studies.
• Essay (250 words) describing your industry involvement, future goals, and your ambitions in Automation
• Must be a member of ISA (International Society of Automation)
• Preference may be given to students with proof of financial need
• With the successful application, an award letter will be issued with the award cheque in December of each year.
• The award can only be received one time by a single individual
Application Process:
• Applications to be submitted to immediate past District 10 District Vice President from Western Canada
• For 2017 this is Ian Verhappen ian.verhappen@cima.ca
• Deadline for students to apply: October 31
Selection Process:
• The District 10 Scholarship committee consist of two (2) representatives from each active Section in Western Canada
• Chairperson is immediate past District 10 District Vice President from Western Canada who will compile and distribute applications to Committee members by Remembrance day each year
• Committee will determine the award recipient based on all criteria components
